The Beatnik Filmstars' unflinchingly noisy presentation of unflinchingly poppy songs provides some of the more joyously buzzy moments in nineties rock, and Phase 3 is no different; if anything, the record packs in a few more hooks than the releases surrounding it.7/

Beatnik Filmstars: 'Seventies Flick ' (Mobstar) (JP (bemoaning once again the backlog of unheard music in his house): 'I know that, even if I stayed awake for 24 hours a day and listened seven days a week and didn't do anything else like eat, drink, sleep and go to the lavvy, I still would fall further and further and further behind.').

    3. Seventies Flick 4. A Crazy Exploding that (which I also loved), and the Planet Records crowd with Flying Saucer Attack, Crescent and so on, there was also Beatnik Filmstars. They are loud, abrasive, and on many occasions so poorly recorded they are virtually unlistenable. I have one CD by them which I think must be the lousiest.
